G-Resources is currently developing the Martabe Gold Mine in Northern Sumatra. The mine and processing plant are nearing the end of construction with the plant currently being commissioned. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3m ounces of silver annually
Reporting to the General Manager Operations the appointee will assume responsibilities for effectively managing the production activities associated with the mining and processing operations.
The initial focus of the role will be to ensure that both the mining and processing operations achieve their required production targets – with the longer term priority of the role to develop and implement strategies to expand and optimise the production and financial performance of the business.
The role requires an experienced mining industry professional who has the knowledge, skills and capability to lead a multi-disciplined production team. The appointee will have tertiary qualifications in either mining engineering or process engineering/metallurgy and have a proven and successful background in production management. The successful candidate will already be managing a smaller operation or be a production manager seeking their next career move. The appointee will be a leader who can readily cover for the General Manager Operations as required.
