Position Title: SR. PIPELINE ENGINEER
Department: ENGINEERING
Reports to: ENGINEERING MANAGER
Overall responsibility:
To work with a multi-discipline project team developing subsea pipeline designs at conceptual, optimisation,
detailed engineering and installation engineering phases.
Must be schedule and budget concious
Key areas of responsibility:
Develop pipeline project scope of work requirements,
Develop man-hour estimates,
Ability to write Specs, procedures & reports,
Be familiar with relevant industry codes,
Carry out all required pipeline engineering activities such as;
- Wall thickness calculations
- On bottom stability
- Cathodic Protection Design
- Span analysis
- Buckling analysis
- Riser analysis
- Stress analysis
- Expansion analysis
- Spool piece analysis
- Lay analysis
- Shore pull analysis
- All other aspects of installation analysis and procedures
- Supervise design
- Peer check other engineer's work
Consults with: Engineering Manager, Project Engineer, Other engineering disciplines, Clients.
Term of employment: Three months probation and permanent after review.
Qualifications: At least 10 (Ten) years working experience. Min bachelors degree in the relevant dicipline.
