Smart Plant 3D Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain system administration parameters, configuration files, groups, workflow, user privileges and other attributes.
- Perform all activities related to the administration of SP3D.
- Customize drawings and report application base on project requirements.
- Prepare design instructions pertaining to plant design requirements and drafting procedures.
- Develop SP3D design and technical practices, specifications, and procedures.
- Prepare engineering model environments.
- Communicate with clients and consultants concerning specific design issues.
- Assist in the Calculation of quantities of material used, load capacities, strength stresses, using established formula or manuals.
- Ensure design complies with applicable Engineering Standards.
- Participate in Engineering Review Meetings.
- Train other senior designers on the administration of Smart Plant and other packages.
- A commitment to professionalism, personal reliability and punctuality.
- Collaboration with other project delivery centres to ensure consistent application of best practice in modelling environment administration.
- Supervise the work of trainees.
- Provide technical guidance to subordinates and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering/technical services and SP3D usage.
- Knowledge of engineering discipline(s)
- Project set-up experience including customization of symbology, report running and customization, procedure writing and workshare co-ordination.
- Excellent computer, plant design and communication skills.
- Strong combination of technical and interpersonal skills
- Experience with development and implementation of 3D system application.
- Knowledge of plant design software packages and inter-disciplinary functions correlation a plus.
- Exposure to and comprehension of a data-centric environment a plus.
- Relational database and MS SQL, Visual Basic experience a plus.
- Understanding of the full suite of Intergraph SmartPlant tools a plus.
- Mining and Metals experience is an advantage.
