ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERINTENDENT (CODE: ES-III/2020)
(Location: Toka Tindung)
The Environmental Superintendent reports to the Environment Manager and is a key member of the Project Environmental Management Team.
Duties :
• Develop, implement & maintain the Environmental Management System
- EMS ISO14001: 2015;
- Compilation of environmental monitoring data and analysis of trends to identify environmental performance issues;
- Environmental Database management & interpretation;
- Understand, interpret & drive use of process data & trending tools;
- Delivery of internal & external environmental reporting requirements;
- Identification & management of environmental risks from site operations via routine site inspection and audits;
- Implementation, maintenance & improvement of environmental control processes to reduce incidents;
- Actively suggest & develop concepts & projects.
• Liaise with & support other Departments and Contractors
- Provide expert advice & feedback.
- Communicate environmental performance issue to all relevant parties.
• Budgeting
- Ensure that all activity within section has passing with company procedure including budget and costing matters.
- Conduct budget management within section.
Requirements :
1. Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Forestry, Biology and relevant degree;
2. 5+ years’ experience in environmental management, monitoring and system in mining operations
3. Preferred having POM ( Pengawas Operasional Madya ) Certified;
4. Familiar with MS Office, Able speak In English both oral & Written
5. Technical/Specialist knowledge in aquatic chemistry, mine site reclamation techniques, AMD management, erosion & sediment control (ESC) techniques and the waste management.
6. Understood and update regulations regarding Environmental and Forestry related with mining industry
7. Driver’s License A
8. Able to demonstrate the awareness on corporate OHS and environmental culture.
