PT Panca Amara Utama (“PAU”) is a 700,000 MT per year ammonia initiative. Ammonia is a chemical compound used in the manufacture of fertilizer, explosives, acids and other petrochemical products. This USD 830 million project is built near Luwuk, Central Sulawesi. One of the biggest industrial project in Eastern Indonesia, PAU initiative supports the government’s directive to increase domestic value addition within the country.
PT PAU’s ammonia plant runs on KBR’s Reforming Exchanger System & Purifier Technology, the leading technology in Ammonia production. This represents its first application in the world, which puts Indonesia at the forefront of Ammonia production worldwide.
Construction began in June 2015 and the plant began commercial operations in September 2018.

1. HSE Manager (Code: HSE-MGR)
Qualifications:
- Male with age between 40 – 48 years old
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 15 – 20 years of working experience in Ammonia Plant, Petrochemical, and/or Oil & Gas companies in HSE Department as Manager.
- Preferably have experience in commissioning and start up plant
- Fluent in English
- Placement in Site Plant at Luwuk, Central Sulawesi with roster work system
2. Electrical Engineer (Code: ELEC-ENG)
Qualifications:
- Male with age between 30 – 35 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in Fertilizer company, Ammonia Plant, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas companies as Electrical Engineer
- Have core experience in Power Plant, ABB Relays and its switchgear maintenance
- Have knowledge at Medium Voltage Switchgear 11KV, 6.9 KB and Low Voltage Switchgear 400V and 240V
- Familiar with HVAC System, cathodic protection system, grounding system, synchronizing system, relay protection REF ABB
- Familiar with power plant, steam turbine generator, gas turbine generator, gas engine generator, diesel generator, capacitor bank
- Have knowledge about Softstarter, VFD, HMI, PMCS
- Fluent in English

3. Instrument Engineer (Code: INS-ENG)
Qualifications:
- Male with age between 28 – 36 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics / Physics Engineering / Instrument
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in Ammonia plant / fertilizer / Oil & Gas companies as Instrument Engineer
- Fluent in English
- Placement in Luwuk, Central Sulawesi with roster system
4. Shift Superintendent (Code: SHIFT-SPT)
Qualifications:
- Male with age maximum 48 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 20 years of working experience in production area of Ammonia plant, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer. Preferably have experience as Shift Superintendent
- Have good technical understanding of Ammonia process
- Familiar with KBR Technology
- Fluent in English
- Placement in Site Plant at Luwuk, Central Sulawesi with roster work system
5. Commercial Officer (Code: COMR-OFF)
Qualifications:
- Male/Female with age between 25 – 32 years old
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from grade A university, or Magister Management from grade A university
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, EPC Contractors.
- Experience in material management, commercial, sales and marketing, and logistics
- Have knowledge in manufacturing or production, production planning inventory control, sales and marketing, business administration, preferably from Ammonia plant background
- Able to coordinate with external: gas supplier and oftaker
- Placement in Head Office at Kuningan, South Jakart
6. Project Engineer (Code: PRJ-ENG)
Qualifications:
- Male/Female with age between 25 – 35 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from grade A university
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, EPC Contractors as Project Engineer
- Familiar with windows, document management system (DMS), Ms. Office, ERP System, Maximo
- Able to support monitoring business process improvement
- Preferably have practical or working experience in Ammonia plant
- Excellent in English
- Placement in Head Office at Kuningan, South Jakarta
7. Mechanical Lead (Code: MEC-LEAD)
Qualifications:
- Male with maximum age 48 years old
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in Petrochemical / Fertilizers / Oil & Gas companies. Minimum 7 years working as Assistant Manager or Lead in Mechanical section. Preferably from large Ammonia plant with KBR technology
- Experience of power plant engines – Wartsila engines and workshop/machine shop
- Working knowledge of applicable codes (ASME, API, ASTM, TEMA etc)
- Working knowledge of maintenance management system (SMMS/SAP/Maximo) and advanced MS. Office skills
- Excellent English skills

8. Sr. Reliability & Inspection Engineer (Code: SRI-ENG)
Qualifications:
- Male with age between 40 – 48 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of working experience with a focus in reliability and inspection for Ammonia plant, Oil & Gas company, and/or Petrochemical facilities
- Involved in the engineering, fabrication, quality control (inspection, examination, and testing) of pressure vessel, tank, heat exchanger, piping, and steel structure
- Familiar with code & standard for design, fabrication and construction for pressure vessel, heat exchanger, tank, piping and pipeline
- Familiar with reliability-centered maintenance implementation
- Strong understanding in reliability & inspection activities
- Fluent in English

9. Process Manager (Code: PCS-MGR)
Qualifications:
- Male with age 40 – 48 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 20 years of working experience in Ammonia Plant or Petrochemical company. Preferably have experience with KBR technology
- Experience as Process Manager in previous company
- Fluent in English
- Placement in Luwuk, Sulawesi Tengah with roster system
10. Production Trainee (Code: PROD-TRN)
Qualifications:
- Male/female with maximum age 27 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from grade A University in Indonesia.
- Have 1 – 2 years of working experience in Ammonia plant or Petrochemical company in process area. Fresh graduate with internship experience in Ammonia plant or Petrochemical company are welcome to apply
